General Rules

BouncingBass.co.uk prides itself on being a community where people come and chat and share what they have. We are not just a download site and expect our members to also share aswell as download. People not following this will be automatically demoted and in somecases banned from the forum.

1. Only post Requests in the Request section
2. Do not leech from Bouncing Bass, unless tagged* Bouncingbass.co.uk.
3. Abusive comments aren't allowed apart from in the Abuse Room.
4. Trading links is not a ban but Staff reserve the right to remove any thread or ban any user if they think a scam is being held
5. This board is English only! If you don't speak English, then use a translator. (How would you be understanding this anyways?)
6. Do not post in dead or old topics, report them and create a new one instead.
7. Posting malicious content that may damage or cause errors to another member is forbidden.
8. Unless software is full, you must post a link to to a crack or serial to it
9. Do not post child porn or animal abuse, you will get IP and User banned for that.
10. Thank posts that are helpful
11. Staff hold the right do remove/ban/restrict/change in any way your account at any time without reasoning. This includes editing/deleting of your topics/posts/pms etc.
12. We have a ZERO TOLERANCE rule against staff abuse outside the spam forums. This includes any banter / potentially harmful content.
14. Do not spam or advertise via Private Messaging

Duplicating Your Accounts

This is forbidden.
You will receive warnings if you create new accounts if you already have one here.
In some cases, depending on the situation all accounts will be banned.

Advertising

1. ONLY normal sites such as your MySpace, Free Ipod , Or Stuff Like This are allowed to be advertised in the Sticky Topic provided in the General Chat
2. Advertising Forums Is Not Allowed, Unless Approved by an Admin
2(a) Paid Adverts or in The Market Place are Allowed ( Mod & Admin Approved)
3. No advertising sites which involves 'Child or Animal Cruelty'
4. No advertising in signature, pictures with the name or link to your website are allowed within reason. But not your picture linked to your website

Shoutbox

1. No advertising in the shoutbox
2. No spam messages or lots of messages in a row
3. No requesting (Downloads of Any kind)
4. Do not use large smilies or hundreds of smilies in one message, other users pcs might not be as good as yours causing problems
5. No banter in the shoutbox
7. NO MSN Addresses
8. NO Scheme Shoutouts
9. NO Shouting In Capital Letters
10. Please refrain from using bb codes such as IMG, SIZE etc.
11. NO Spamming The Shoutbox With Shoutouts
12. NO Swearing Or Abuse To Other Members
13. NO External links to Other Music Websites
14. No Asking About How To Download
15. NO Asking About The Posting Rules As Everything Is Explained In Topics
16. Use Common Sense...
Members can be banned from the shoutbox without warning if these rules are not followed.

Phishing

Any body found phishing Account / Names / Password or Id's of any kind from a warez download URL or even from a normal URL will be banned without notice

Due to account phishing we are disallowing any link protected links to be posted.
If you are found to have posted a phishing site you will be Warned and if you carry on banned. Other link protected urls will just be removed.

Signature Rules

1. No advertising in your signature.
2. You may have a picture with your sites url on it, but no hotlinking.
3. Don't use lots of big signatures or writing.
4. No flaming in your signature.

Note: Elite Members are permitted to advertise in there signatures (hotlinked images or direct links)

Promotion to Elite User Group

1.You Can only get elite status if you subscribe to one of our plans:

When you purchase a Elite subscription you will be relaxed on some of these rules.
This means you shall get more warnings and less points along with the little stuff 'overlooked'

If however you get banned we reserve the right to take your subscription away at any time with no refund.

Double Posting

1. Double posting your download topic to bump it up the list is is generally not allowed.
2. You may only double post in your download topic if you are updating your topic, posting mirrors or adding additional downloads.
3. Use the Edit Button to edit your first post.

Hide your download links

Always hide your download links.
Use:

or highlight your link and click to insert the hide tags
When you hide your links the user wanting to see the hidden content will need to reply to the thread.

Post reporting

If you find a post that hasn't got a password, the links are dead or there are any other problems click the Report buttons.
This will send a message to moderators so the problem can be dealt with properly

Download Sections

1. To get promoted to Member Group you need Introduce Yourself & make another 19 Relevant Posts in the sections available and be 2 days Registered.
2. Please DO NOT download all files that you can find, without uploading near enough the same amount, as this is classed as Leeching and you will be banned from the download sections.
3. Always search the download section before uploading a new track, to make sure it already isn't there.
4. Always leave a good enough thanx for the uploader in their topic, Ta .. thanx .. cheers .. or smilies isnt acceptable for the uploader who has taken their time to upload.
5. All files downloaded are for "Try Before You Buy" ONLY - And MUST be deleted within 24 Hours of downloading. Bouncing Bass Does not take any responsibility for any files that have been downloaded to your computer.

Infraction System

The infraction system has been setup to avoid trouble on the forum.

There is a total of 10 points you can get. Certain amount of points means a certain length ban. 10 points is a permanent ban.

5 points = 3day ban
7 points = 7day ban
9 points = 1month ban
10 points = permanent ban

Points given will be Dependant on the severity of the offense.

An Admin Can Serve an infraction at anytime they deem to be in the best interest of bouncingbass & its affiliates.
If you decide to create another account, when banned, you will be permanently IP banned, and all new accounts found will also be IP banned.

We reserve the right to ban anyone at any time for any reason we see fit.

Duplication Checker

We have installed a 'dupe checker'

When you type the title of your thread you can click the 'Check If Already Posted' button and it will search for threads with that name. If you see a thread which is the same things, reply to that thread with your links, do not start a new topic.
If you do post a duplicated Thread you will be warned as its gives us penalty points for our Search Engine Optimization.

Abuse Room Forum

1. No advertising in these forums
2. No vBulletin Warez
3. No abuse to staff or anything regarding Bouncingbass

Note: although staff do not moderate these forums they have full rights to close or remove threads at any time if they feel they are getting out of hand.

These are at the top of each forum.
Take notice of these as some forums have there own guidelines & rules of posting.
